Your discription is a bit vague. I don't know what GW SC players generally use (I would ask them directly. If you do speedclears and have the intent to set records, you probably won't have problem contacting these people.).

I personally use WSplit, but not for GW since I do speedclears very rarely. WSplit has the option to stay on top of your window, if you use windowed/full windowed mode. It also has the option to set up sheets with splits (e.g. for DoA domains) and let the time run against your records. Imho it's a fine tool.
